Wer vielleicht schonmal auf dem Blog von Phil oder auf meinem Instagram-Account vorbeigeschaut hat, der hat vielleicht mitbekommen, dass er seit ein paar Monaten stolzer Besitzer eines kleinen Segelboots ist. Immer wenn das Wetter schön ist, zieht es uns also momentan nicht nur an den See (in Augsburg vorzugsweise die Lechstaustufe 23, auch genannt Mandichosee), sondern auch auf den See. Bei gutem Wind, versteht sich, denn dieses Gefährt kommt vollkommen ohne Motor vom Fleck. Mittlerweile sind wir ein ganz gutes Team geworden, denn ungeübt hatten wir anfangs mit ein paar Kleinigkeiten zu kämpfen. Inzwischen weiß ich aber auch, was Fender, Verklicker & Co. bedeuten und kann sogar schon selbst ein bisschen steuern. Vor allem liebe ich die Ruhe, die man so ganz allein mitten auf dem See hat – fernab von anderen Badegästen, Kindergeschrei, Pommesgeruch oder Platzmangel für Badehandtücher!
So ein Boot ist dann auch ziemlich schnell zur Badeplattform umfunktioniert: Ankern, Segel einholen, ins Wasser springen, plantschen. Juchu!
If you know Phil’s blog or my instagram account, you may have noticed that Phil is the pround owner of a little boat for a while now. That’s the reason for us to head to the lake as soon as the weather’s nice, which means sunshine and good wind at the same time! After some learning by doing lessons, we’ve become a good team and I am now even able to drive the boat around the lake a bit by myself. The boat is the perfect calm place I think: No other people making noise, no children, not even too less space for all those beach towel – just us and the boat. It’s great to jump into deep water right from the boat’s side, too – so much fun!
